Robert Sorkin

Robert Sorkin is a business development, partnerships, and corporate strategy leader who has launched and overseen multiple brand extensions and divisions, generating over $75 million in revenue. Over the past 15 years in entertainment and media, he has built and managed revenue-generating operations at ITV Studios America, Young Hollywood, and Gaumont Television.

Robert began his career at Creative Artists Agency in television packaging, working with A-list actors, writers, directors, and producers. He then joined Gaumont Television, where he built the Business Development division from the ground up into a multimillion-dollar annual revenue stream. He created significant new revenue and marketing opportunities for hit properties, including Narcos (Netflix), Hannibal (NBC), and others, and led development and implementation of the mobile game Narcos: Cartel Wars with FTX Games.

As Head of Business Development at Young Hollywood, Robert launched 8 new verticals and expanded the company's entertainment programming across traditional and digital platforms internationally. His initiatives included launching the Young Hollywood Tour in partnership with Starline Tours, creating a new revenue stream, and increasing brand awareness.

Most recently, Robert served as Vice President of Business Development & Strategy at ITV Studios America, where he led commercial initiatives across content monetization, strategic partnerships, licensing, and digital extensions for properties including One Piece (Netflix), Snowpiercer (AMC), and others. He partnered closely with creative, legal, finance, and distribution teams to identify new revenue opportunities, support franchise growth, and enhance the long-term value of premium IP.

Robert now partners with entertainment companies, studios, and founders as a fractional executive and strategic advisor. He holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BA in Art & Art History from Emory University. He previously served on the board of Kids in the Spotlight, a nonprofit empowering foster youth through filmmaking. He specializes in building scalable business development functions and translating creative IP into commercial opportunities across licensing, gaming, experiences, and emerging technology platforms.
